Peter Gibbon retired as Senior Researcher from the Danish Institute for International Studies in 2015. From 1990 here, as well as earlier at the Nordic Africa Institute (Uppsala) and Centre for Development Research (Copenhagen), he worked on structural adjustment and socio-economic change, recent historical developments in global commodity chains, and the socio-economics of standards—all from the perspective of impacts in Africa.
